The Supply Chain Management, a key function

The Supply Chain Manager plays a major role in the value chain of procurement, manufacturing and distribution of products and services. Actors of Supply Chain Management are key contributors for coordinating and enabling three international flows: goods & services, finance, information.

Digitalization is allowing for follow-up production and transport in real time, thus enabling Supply Chain Management to evolve into a more efficient system. This evolution allows for a global and immediate tracking of goods from raw materials to finished products.

In the economy of the future, supply chain managers will be core players who are essential in the business development of their company. Major skills to be mastered are global vision, flexibility, proactivity based on accurate knowledge of Supply Chain strategies, concepts, lean management, procurement, planning, and international trade.
